Maps give us a different view of history. This page will have some links to maps and also a list of publications that include maps of the area.

We start with the MapQuest on-line site which allows you to find an address; get driving directions between two points; and a map of the desired area. Here is a link for a Map of Milan, MI US

The Ellis branch library of the Monroe County Library System has

"London Township" file with the following:

"Milan Township" file with the following:

Milan Township map, township 5 South, Range 6 East dated 1939.

The Genealogical Society of Monroe County (GSMC) has included plat maps of 1876 in the extract of the 1880 federal census of Monroe County, Michigan. Copies can be purchased from GSMC and found in the local libraries (Milan and Ellis branch).
